The Whale Geoglyph, Nazca Lines, Peru
Peru
The Whale Geoglyph is one of the ancient figures of the Nazca Lines, located in the desert plains of Nazca, in the Ica region of southern Peru. Believed to have been created by the Nazca culture between approximately 100 BC and 700 AD, this geoglyph represents a whale-like figure drawn on the surface of the desert. Its presence reflects the symbolic relationship between the ancient people of Nasca, the natural world, water, fertility, and the sacred landscape. This 360° panorama allows viewers to appreciate the geoglyph within its vast desert environment and its connection to one of the most remarkable archaeological landscapes in the world.
