Stony Stratford is an English town in Buckinghamshire UK. It lies on the northwest edge of the new city of Milton Keynes and the old Roman Watling Street passes through it. The term "A Cock & Bull Story" is reputed to come from the two main inns in the town which were the first overnight stop for horse drawn coaches travelling north out of London.
