Wan Loong Temple
Malaysia
Wan Loong Temple is one of the most popular landmarks in Port Dickson, built as a tribute to the Dragon King and the Goddess of Mercy. It was established by the local Chinese community to seek protection and prosperity for the seaside town. The temple's name, which translates to "Ten Thousand Dragons," reflects the belief in the protective power of these mythical creatures. The temple is famous not just for its stunning architecture, but also for its beautiful gardens and the large variety of statues depicting figures from Chinese mythology. It has become a must-visit destination for tourists and worshippers alike, offering a spiritual retreat that overlooks the Straits of Malacca.
