孔廟建於清緒5年，日據時代再次重建，即現今我們看見的孔廟。

孔廟係為祀奉至聖先師孔子及歷代賢儒而興建，採江南式廟宇建築，宏偉壯觀，內部設櫺星門、儀門、大成殿、東廡、東廂和西廡、西廂。

每年的九月二十八日孔子誕辰紀念日，孔廟會舉行祭孔大典「八佾舞」的演出，充分表達對至聖先師孔子的追思與懷念。
