Gray's Ferry Avenue is the main artery of the Philadelphia neighborhood known as Devil's Pocket, a ghastly industrial wasteland.  It crosses the Schuylkill River in the adjacent neighborhood of Forgotten Bottom, which also lives up to its name, though it seems to be gentrifying rapidly.  The park along the river bank is pleasant enough.
