Pavillon-Skulptur von Max Bill
Switzerland

This panorama shows Max Bill's granite sculpture, created in 1983, which is open to the public. It is situated in a prime location, right next to Bahnhofstrasse, between Paradeplatz and Bahnhofplatz. With its clean lines, the granite work contrasts with the bustle of the busy street and radiates a sense of peace and relaxation. The sculpture – which, depending on the viewing angle, can also appear very dynamic – is undoubtedly one of the best-known works of Max Bill (1907 – 1994), who was born in Winterthur and distinguished himself as an artist, architect, painter, graphic designer, and sculptor. He belonged to the Zurich School of Concrete Artists.
