On the way to Parsenn 2

Panorama photographed on one of the trails connecting Davos to Parsenn. This trail begins alongside Lake Davos via the Höhenweg, offering magnificent views of Lake Davos and the surrounding mountains, such as Silvreta, Madrisa, Pischa, Jakobshorn and the Dischma and Sertig valleys.

With wide ski runs for steep turns, Parsenn is one of the longest ski runs in Europe and the oldest ski race in Switzerland. Parsenn is the largest and most traditional ski area in Davos Klosters and is considered the birthplace of skiing in Switzerland.

In 1895, the Parsenn piste was discovered, and an Alpine legend was born. Since the opening of the funicular railway about 90 years ago, Parsenn has been a classic ski mountain, with long, wide runs and traditional mountain huts. The Parsenn Derby, Switzerland's oldest ski race, is held here annually. The ski area, with around 97 kilometers of slopes, can be reached from Davos by the Parsennbahn, near the Hotel Seehof, and from Klosters by the Gotschnabahn.
