The Little Horn River in the Big Horn Mountains of northern Wyoming just below the elevation of 9'000 feet. This panorama was taken in the high meadows at about 8'000 feet elevation where Duncom Creek joins Wagon Box Creek join together. Only about a half mile below that Wagon Box Creek then joins with the Little Horn River. In Wyoming the river is named Little Horn but when the river crosses into Montana, its name is changed to Little Bighorn River. Per Wikipedia: In 1859, William F. Raynolds . . . noted in his journal for that day that the Indian name of the Big Horn river, into which the Little Bighorn empties, is Ets-pot-agie, or Mountain Sheep River, and this generates the name of the Little Big Horn, Ets-pot-agie-cate, or Little Mountain Sheep river.[6] The trappers who came to the Big Horn Mountains in the fur trapping era continued the usage of the English translation of the Indian names, and the names for both rivers have come down through history.[6] According to the USGS, the Little Bighorn River has three other official variants of the name, including Little Horn River, Custer River and Great Horn River.[2] A(nother) historical variant name for the Little Bighorn is the Greasy Grass. From the 1500s to the 1800s, the indigenous Crow people knew the river as the Greasy Grass. Local people who live in the valley and along the tributaries commonly use the shortened version—Little Horn—instead of the more cumbersome name, Little Bighorn.

California is full of nothing but grizzly old miners digging for gold, a few gangster rappers, and then actors. That is to say, the West Coast functions as the imagination of the US, like a weird little brother who teases everybody then gets famous for making freaky art.The central part of the country is flat farmland all the way over to the Rocky Mountains.
