A 400' aerial view overlooking the Lava Park lava flow extending down from Mt. Shasta northeast of Weed, California. A vent on the flank of Shastina erupted 9,300 years ago extending for nearly four miles w/ a thickness of over 400 feet. Highway 97 today cuts around the terminus of the flow.
