Hoo Ann Kiong Temple
Malaysia
Hoo Ann Kiong is the oldest Taoist temple in Chinatown (Kampung Cina), built by early Hokkien immigrants in 1801. Although it was damaged by fire in 2010, it has been beautifully restored with intricate wood carvings and vibrant colors. A panorama inside captures the rich heritage, the smell of incense, and the ornate detailing that tells the story of the Chinese community in Terengganu.
