Callenberg Castle in Coburg, Germany
Franconie
Callenberg Castle is picturesquely located on a hill near Coburg in Bavaria and served for centuries as the summer residence of the ducal family of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Its origins date back to the 12th century, though it was remodeled in the 19th century in the neo-Gothic style. Today, the castle houses a museum dedicated to the family's history and features an impressive collection of historical weapons. Surrounded by expansive parkland, Callenberg Castle offers visitors a glimpse into aristocratic life and the legacy of one of Europe’s most influential noble families.
