Inspiration means being “in spirit” — fully present in a moment, aware of its meaning, and intentional about preserving it. My life’s work has centered on capturing moments in time and sharing the essence of place, story, and spirit with others.
Born in Salt Lake City and raised in Phoenix, I earned a degree in Electronics and Computer Science from DeVry University. After relocating to San Diego in 1981, I spent 12 years in medical diagnostics and computer manufacturing, rising from electronics test technician to lead supervisor and systems integration engineering senior technician, contributing to the production of multi-million-dollar neuromagnetometer systems. That foundation in precision and systems thinking continues to influence my work today.
In 1996, I founded 360View.com, pioneering virtual reality imaging and object VR experiences throughout San Diego and across the United States — long before immersive media became mainstream. For 24 years, the company helped businesses and institutions present themselves to the world in a new way. It was successfully sold in 2020, marking the completion of one chapter and the beginning of another.
With more than 40 years behind the lens, my photography and immersive imaging have always been more than technology. They have been about exploration and preservation.
Following the Great Recession, I began traveling the continental United States as a professional driver, delivering goods coast to coast. For 15 years, I saw America up close — small towns, local businesses, historic sites, landscapes, and everyday citizens who quietly embody the spirit of this nation.
From that experience, I founded TheBestofAmerica.org, a living national archive dedicated to honoring unsung heroes, preserving American heritage, and recognizing local patriot businesses that stand for community and country. As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, the mission is clear: to ensure that the people, places, and stories that define America are remembered — not just for today, but in perpetuity.
